Supper !

I've waited a while to write this review because at the time I began using this Advanced Clinical's lotion I had also started a new vitamin supplement. I wasn't sure which one was responsible for incredible reaction with my skin. Well, after testing by stopping both products and then restarting with just this retinol lotion, I'm happy to report it was the lotion that gave the fantastic results!

Fabulous!

Okay, now what were the results you ask? I'm a 55 year old female in good health, but the slow decline of my skin health (bumps, crepe, etc.) has been really depressing. Almost immediately, I'd say within the first 3 or 4 days, I happened to rub the back of my upper arm and found something I hadn't felt since probably my early 30's...smooth, bump-free skin!!! I was shocked and I couldn't stop touching it because it had been years since I remembered the feel of youthful skin!

Great product

Wonderful

I'd asked my dermatologist years earlier when the bumpiness began what was it? She explained that as we age our skin loses it's ability to slough-off the old layers as it once did. I tried exfoliating regularly, but the bumps never seemed to fully smooth out, always leaving a bit of a gritty or sandy feel to my skin. Should I always follow up with a nightly moisturizer after applying the 1% retinol or only if I develop sensitization?

I would recommend following up with a nightly moisturizer every time since it could prevent sensitization and seal up the serum so your skin could be more hydrated even after a long night's sleep.

Is this beneficial for treating acne?

Yes. Any retinol care product will be beneficial with treating acne because it is making your skin regenerate faster, essentially.

Can this be used during AM routine?

Retinol can make your skin sensitive to the sun. It should be used during the PM routine. Please wear sunscreen in the mornings because retinol makes you photosensitive.
